Privacy

ClipRill sends the clip link to Twitch to find the available media, then streams the selected file through our server to your browser. We do not store the video or maintain a history of pasted links.

We use first-party, cookieless page-view counts: human or crawler class, coarse device class, and a random daily-salted visitor hash for daily unique counts. IP and User-Agent are processed only in memory; raw addresses, User-Agents, cookies, queries and pasted links are not stored in analytics. Our site database keeps sanitized events for up to 14 Beijing days and daily counts for up to 90 Beijing days. Our management dashboard keeps aggregate counts long term for trends; these contain no individual visitor hashes or media. If the daily salt is not ready, we count the page view but do not infer a unique visitor. Temporary download tokens expire after 10 minutes; in-memory rate counters expire after a short window.

Cloudflare provides DNS, TLS and traffic delivery. Twitch supplies the source media. These providers necessarily process technical connection data under their own policies. Application access logging is disabled; limited error codes may be retained for operations without pasted links or media tokens.

When enabled in production, Google Analytics 4 operates under regional privacy policies: in regions requiring prior consent (such as the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and conservative jurisdictions) or where visitor region is unknown, measurement only activates if you choose Allow in the footer preferences. In other recognized regions, measurement is enabled by default with opt-out available at any time via the footer preferences (remains off if storage is blocked). If active, Google receives technical connection data including IP address, browser and device characteristics, referring origin, and clean page paths; this data may be processed internationally across Google infrastructure. Analytics cookies expire within 180 days. When enabled, operational administrative retention for user-level and event-level data in Google Analytics is configured for 2 months with new activity reset turned off; standard aggregate reports may be retained longer. This is an administrative service setting rather than automated code deletion or first-party retention. Google Analytics never receives pasted Twitch clip URLs, channel names, video IDs, media stream tokens, or downloaded filenames. You can opt out or revoke consent at any time via the footer, and Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals are strictly honored regardless of region. Opting out or revoking consent does not impact active downloads or anonymous first-party counters. Official Google policies are linked below.
